Helios Trouser is a highly\nadjustable and adaptable pair of\ntrousers!<\/p>\n

The trousers are originally inspired by the traditional Japanese Hakama trousers. The traditional Japanese Hakama was worn by both Samurai and field workers all the way back to the 500s. It\u2019s a unisex garment with pleats both front and back, a high waist and sewn-on belts.<\/p>\n

Helios Trouser is our modern interpretation of this traditional garment, with a more relaxed feel and several waistband options.<\/p>\n

The trousers have wide legs and lots of ease. They come in 8 sizes with great adaptability, a unisex fit and adjustable length from ankle length to shorts!<\/p>\n

The pattern is very beginner-friendly, and yet has a lot of character! You\u2019ll sew these trousers together in no time, even with a nice finish on the seams!<\/p>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n

Materials<\/h3>\n

Suitable fabrics are non-stretch, woven fabrics with a light to medium weight \u2013 Helios suits most! You can use anything from silk to medium weight denim, depending on which view you choose;<\/p>\n

View A \u2013 Denim in cotton or hemp \/ Twill in cotton, linen or Tencel. Poplin and light-medium linen or linen blends are also great!<\/p>\n

View B \u2013 Twill in cotton, linen or Tencel is perfect, seersucker is also great!<\/p>\n

View C \u2013 Poplin is just perfect!<\/p>\n

View D \u2013 Lighter cotton fabrics and linen or linen blends are perfect!<\/p>\n

Use a cotton poplin to give structure accentuate the shape of the trousers, or a Tencel twill for more drape and flowy style.<\/p>\n

You need approximately 2.4m of fabric for a standard length Helios Trouser.<\/p>\n

Formats<\/h3>\n

The pattern is in PDF format and comes in A4\/Letter size, A0 and projector-friendly file. You will receive an order confirmation by email with a download link to the pattern in PDF format. If you also order including print, you will receive a package in your mailbox with a print of the pattern itself in A0 format.<\/p>\n
