Low Waste Pattern

The pattern is designed so that you do not need to print the entire pattern on paper. You only need to print one page and then draw the pattern directly on the fabric, or on pattern paper if you wish. The pattern is constructed so that it leaves as little scraps and remnants as possible, and you will find layout guidance for different fabric widths in the instructions. You receive a download link to the pattern by e-mail in PDF format in Norwegian and English.

Suitable fabrics are firm, woven fabrics of medium weight. The shape of the trousers comes out best in fabrics with a little structure and volume. For example, you can use canvas in cotton or hemp, a light denim or a medium gabardine/twill. You need the following materials to make a Studio Trouser (from sizes XS-XXL):

Fabric with > 120 cm width: 168 – 188 cm

Fabric with < 120 cm width: 246 – 286 cm

Drawstring: 100 – 140 cm

Elastic band 4 cm wide: 60 cm – 100 cm
(Adjust to desired fit)

Bias tape for the hem 4 cm wide: 90 cm-130 cm
(Feel free to make from off-cuts of the fabric)

The pictured trousers are sewn in undyed hemp/organic cotton and indigo deadstock cotton/linen. The model is 182 cm tall, hips 90 cm, and wears size L.
