Workshop Jacket, PDF Sewing Pattern

The Workshop Jacket is our interpretation of the classic work jacket – inspired by vintage French blue-collar workwear, le Bleu de Travail. It's designed for medium to heavy workwear fabrics such as canvas, corduroy, selvedge denim, twill and ripstop, and is finished flat felled seams and topstitching throughout.

Our Workshop Jacket features two roomy patch pockets at the front, one external chest pocket with a pen holder, and one internal chest pocket. It has a simple collar attached between the jacket and facing, and comes with a collarless view as well! The sleeves are finished with turn-ups, and the hem is straight and closes at the front with four buttons – all in all, a very manageable jacket to sew!

It’s unlined and can be worn both as a jacket and as an overshirt, depending on the fabric you choose and whether you want to layer it. It can also be lengthened and sewn as a longer chore coat.
